In America, racial identity and cultural value in the African American community  have been lost due to centuries of misinformation and social conditioning. Misunderstandings may arise if one is not aware of the cultural and spiritual tradition they are seeking to practice.  This lack of knowledge can be hurtful, insulting and even spiritually  dangerous.  Maintaining respect for the Ancestors, Spirits and its elders are very important. Whatever ones experience level, it is important to understand and respect the protocol of that particular tradition. Below are some guidelines to help aid in this process.

When speaking to the elders of IKS please come with good intentions in your heart. Be humble and respectful and they in turn will assist you fully. Please remember that they already know what is in your heart before you speak, and that you can never deceive them. Approaching them the right way will assure you their blessing and assistance. If you have any questions we have posed a forum where your question will be addressed.

*You must be enrolled in our IKS video courses. ( Unless stated otherwise by a IKS )

*You must completed lessons 1-6 being a full initiate into the house of TUNGTIYA (BLACK RAIN)

*You must fill out our apprentice application

*You must state BRIEFLY why you are requesting this service

*You must schedule appointment with us on Skype, Yahoo, or msn in addition to doing a divination to determine whether the elder you have chosen will be the best spiritually for you. The video appointment and application are also done to validate your identity and to see if we must remove any obstacles so that your road will be clear.

*You must download RECENT photos

*You must send Cola (a payment)   your cola will go toward our team presenting your elder you have chosen with small money food and gifts.

*You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of both, and an estimated time when you will be scheduled.

*You will be notified that your information was received

*Our team will present your elder with cola (This is a traditional greeting. presenting the Elder you have chosen with small money food and gifts.)

*Your information will be presented to your elder or a time will be set for use to come back and present your information. This process makes take a few days. You must understand these elders are very busy and most if not all are tending to many people from their village and surrounding villages.

*You will be notified to schedule your introduction
