In all countries of the world there exists Indigenous knowledge related to physical, mental, and spiritual health. For Hundreds of Years, Indigenous Knowledge, and Traditional African Practices (Medical and Spiritual) have been misrepresented, despised, underestimated, and demonized, by the world’s religious community.

Due to the overwh

elming failures of modern medicine. Many have looked toward alternative medicine. This recent interest, and new found
confidence in Traditional culture, and Herbal Healing, has given new hopes to Millions of people around the World.

The Indigenous Knowledge and Development study successful implementation of core objectives involves and is critically linked to African American’s capacity to be exposed to, learn, and absorb the rich Indigenous culture and traditional practices of West Africa.  Under the umbrella of the Indigenous Knowledge Study (IKS) participants have

access to a comprehensive training in traditional medicine, herbal formulations, spiritual practice, and spiritual philosophy that Intill to day has been closely graded and known only by a select few here in the US.

This exposure and knowledge will have a substantial impact on the psyche of African Americans, and will improve our social, and mental functioning  By fostering a greater sense of racial identity.

Theoretical accounts define racial identity as the extent to which one takes on African centered values and demonstrates a strong commitment to improving the lives of other African people. Racial identity serves as a buffer against the factors that place African American families at risk for mental health problems. Empirical studies indicate that racial identity is associated with better psychological and social functioning among African Americans (Carter, 1991; Jefferson & Caldwell, 2002; Parham & Helms, 1985; Phelps, Tailor & Gerard, 2001). Thus, African Americans who identify strongly with their African heritage are more likely to be well  adjusted and participate in activities that benefit their immediate surroundings.

In addition, under the umbrella of the IKS participants can also travel to West Africa to study with hundred Traditional African Healers, Herbalists, Botanical Experts, Alchemists, Esoteric/Metaphysical Masters, Doctors, Researchers & Pharmaceutical Experts from Africa threw our non profit MAMA

 IKS Elders

(IKS Elders)

It is true that African Americans were captured, kidnapped, and taken by strangers to a strange land. Naturally, this catastrophe has had great and lasting affects on the psychology of African Americans. Several people are blamed for these unfortunate events, however, very little has been done operationally by either Africans or African Americans to help lessen the pain and lasting agony caused by the slave trade. IKS is pioneering the active engagement of real solution oriented efforts to address and resolve the horror of slavery and its lingering mental effects. The time and environment is ideal for the genesis of a realistic model designed for the

African American community to develop a real appreciation and knowledge of its own culture. IKS is positioned to fill the cultural void within our communities and replace it with a healthy confidence and strong sense of identity.

IKS’s   Medicines, Formulas, Solutions, remedies and research is based on Ancestral Arts & Science, used for millions of Years.  IKS    unique collaboration with elders in Africa allows us to create a one of a kind curriculum that is designed to guide you step by step in various indigenous practices.  You now have the rear opportunity to learn from authentic Indigenous elders while in the confuert and privacy of your home…
